Laura Joh Rowland is the author of a mystery series set in 17th century Japan, featuring samurai detective Sano Ichiro. Her latest book is The Cloud Pavilion. She is also the author of Bedlam: The Further Secret Adventures of Charlotte Bronte, which stars the famous Victorian author. Her work has been published in 13 foreign countries and nominated for the Anthony Award and the Hammett Prize. Laura lives in New York.
