Lawrence Goldstone is the author or co-author of ten books of fiction and non-fiction. His first novel, Rights, won a New American Writing Award. With his wife Nancy, he has written extensively on the history of medicine and anatomy in two highly praised works of narrative history, Out of the Flames and The Friar and the Cipher. His articles, reviews, and opinion pieces have appeared in major periodicals.
